Herbert Georg Nau (8 April 1913 – 28 August 1944) was a Korvettenkapitan with the Kriegsmarine during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Herbert Nau was killed in an automobile accident in Yvetot, France
