Hepatica nobilis or Anemone americana is a herbaceous perennial in the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). It is native to the eastern United States and to central and eastern Canada.
In cultivation, this plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
