Griffith Henry Thompson (6 October 1906 – 21 May 1943) was a former Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He volunteered for service soon after Australia's declaration of war against Germany, and was moved to Batavia (Now Jakarta). While posted there with the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps, he was captured in 1942 as the Japanese army moved south. He was put to work on the Burma Railway, and died while working on the railway in May 1943.
