Hengest Records is the British record label trading name for English Music Publishers SYME Music Publishing Company Limited founded by Artiste Agency and Artiste Manager Martin Looby in 1994.
SYME Music Publishing consists of Production Department SYME Productions, music label Hengest Records and Graphic Design works Grassmonster Studios. Most if not all of the labels releases were wholly produced and published internally as with the Wishbone Ash recordings which were captured in 48 track Digital together with one of the first HDTV In Concert film productions of its kind, as the Geneva performance was exclusively captured in High Definition TV in 1994, almost ten years before the UK major broadcasters were equipped to manage the new format.

The first releases on the Hengest Records label included the classic rock album Live in Geneva (Wishbone Ash album) by world acclaimed twin lead guitar band Wishbone Ash in 1995 and the debut heavy metal album Victim You written and recorded by original founder members of metal band SAXON, Graham Oliver, Steve Dawson and Pete Gill, with Haydn Conway and Thunderhead front man Ted Bullet, who released the album under the original SAXON UK club band name of Son of a Bitch.
These were soon followed by some small releases, which included American rock trio Strongheart, previously signed to Albert Productions in Australia, with their own songs under the album titled Ritual.
