Hemant, (Sanskrit: हेमन्त; Hemanta) is an Indian male given name. It is the namesake of Hemanta or Hemant, one of six Indian ecological seasons—Ritu—in north and west India and Nepal, which runs in early winter approximately from November to December. Those named Hemant include:
