Hellinsia orellanai

Hellinsia orellanai is a moth of the Pterophoridae family that is endemic to Ecuador.

The wingspan is 23 millimetres (0.91 in). The forewings are pale yellow and the markings are brown. The hindwings and fringes are very pale yellow-brown. Adults are on wing in November, at an altitude of 2,650 metres (8,690 ft).

Etymology

The species is named after Francesco de Orellana, conquistador and lieutenant of Gonzalo Pizarro.
