Heinz Edhofer (15 December 1917 – 27 May 1978) was a highly decorated Oberfeldwebel in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. During his career he was credited with flying 700+ missions and the destruction of 84 tanks.
