Hebbal (N)

Hebbal (N) a small village in District Belgaum, Karnataka, India. It is near a bigger settlement named Mouje Nandgad.

Village is a conglomerate of around 500 houses belonging to various castes and communities. The majority of inhabitants are farmers and laborers, with a few into brick making. The former village heads were the Kulkarni family. The family also controlled a few more villages nearby. The family still has an ancestral residence and few descendants staying there. Majority of the descendants of this family have now migrated. Many of the descendants come for Dusserra puja every year during Navratri as per the Hindu calendar. Many more descendants come for the Lakshmi Devi Yatra, a carnival in the honor of Goddess Lakshmi.

The last Yatra was observed between 8th to 15 February 2012 and was held nearly after more than 20 years. Thousands of people from far and wide attended the Yatra.
