Heartless is a Danish drama television series broadcast in 2014 on Kanal 5, produced in the Danish language and rated TV-MA for mature audiences. It was directed by Natasha Arthy, produced by Ronnie Fridthjof, Signe Emilie Bjorke, and Bo Mortensen; script by Nikolaj Scherfig and Morten Dragsted. In the show, twins Sebastian and Sofie enroll in Ottsmansgaard boarding school hoping to discover the secret of their supernatural curse.

The first season was released on Netflix in Canada and the United States in April 2016. It is currently being shown by Walter Presents on British Channel 4.
Plot Summary
The siblings Sophie and Sebastian carry a dark, fatal secret: In order to live, they have to suck energy out of other people. If they do not stop in time, their prey is somehow ignited and burns to ashes. Raised in an orphanage, Sofie and Sebastian try to find answers to what they are, which leads them to the gloomy and traditional boarding school, Ottmannsgaard.
The siblings have to contend with strong emotions as they experience their first serious love affair, while resisting the urge to suck energy from the other students. As the series progresses, flashbacks show cycles of sin and forgiveness, life and death, love and betrayal, and witches and the damned.
