Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 402 people, 163 households, and 106 families residing in the town. The population density was 114.1/km² (296.2/mi²). There were 185 housing units at an average density of 52.5/km² (136.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 95.52% White, 0.50% Black or African American, 1.49% Native American, and 2.49% from two or more races. 1.24% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 163 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.8% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.4% were non-families. 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.07.
