Harry Mintz

Harry Mintz (c. 1907–2002) was a Polish-American painter.

He was born in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Poland around 1907 (He kept his birth date concealed for most of his life, even from his family). He was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, from which he graduated with a degree in painting. He emigrated to the United States, and practiced his painting in Chicago and Los Angeles. Mintz taught at the Art Institute of Chicago and Washington University in St. Louis.
