Harry Kent (cyclist) Harry Kent Cycle racing Te Ara Encyclopedia of New Zealand

Harry Dale Kent (born 11 March 1947, in Upper Hutt) is a former racing cyclist from New Zealand.

At the 1970 British Commonwealth Games he won the gold medal in the men's 1 km time trial. He also finished 4th in the sprint and 6th in the 10 mile scratch race.

He competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in the men's 1 km time trial and men's sprint.

Kent is a well known figure in his home town of Upper Hutt, where he is a former city councilor and runs a fruit and vegetable market.
