Harold W. Hobbs was an American educator. Hobbs attended Amherst College from which he graduated with an A.B. in 1909. On September 5, 1909, Hobbs married Rosemary nee Field in Morris, Connecticut. He did graduate studies at Harvard University from 1915 to 1916. In 1917, he was an English teacher and assistant headmaster at the Morristown School in Morristown, New Jersey. By 1920, he was teaching at the Detroit Country Day School in Detroit, Michigan.
