Hari Kothi, named after Lord Vishnu, is a historic property in Dharamshala, India.

The estate was bought by raja brij mohan pal in the name of his wife rani ratten dei of kutlehar from an english person after her marriage to raja brij mohan pal of kutlehar.the other lands around hari kothi belonged to raja ram pal of kutlehar grandfather of raja brij mohan pal

Hari Kothi is a colonial jewel constructed in the traditional Himalayan technique of ‘dhajji’ and is one of the oldest buildings in the region.

The landmark estate has been the hub of social activity for over a century and has hosted numerous Heads of State, Princes, Princesses and other distinguished guests, Swami Vivekananda too stayed here during his visit to the hill station in 1897.

All the rooms in Hari Kothi have wooden flooring and are strewn with antique furniture, remarkable photographs from royal India and objects of historic significance, which reflect the rich heritage of the building.

The four acre mature gardens are home to numerous species of Himalayan birds and plants, a natural water spring and spectacular views of the Kangra valley.
