Hansen Mountains (Norwegian: Hansenfjella) is a large group of nunataks rising to about 300 m above the plateau, lying 55 miles south of Stefansson Bay and extending 25 miles in a NW-SE direction in Kemp Land, East Antarctica.Highest peak is Mount Gjeita (1700 m). It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and named for H.E. Hansen, the Norwegian cartographer who compiled the maps for this and other Norwegian Antarctic expeditions.
