Hans Hirning (14 November 1922 – 30 April 1945) was an Oberscharfuhrer, in the Waffen SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

Hans Hirning was born on the 14 November 1922 at Ulm, he volunteered to join the SS and was posted to the 3rd SS Division Totenkopf. He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class in October 1941 and the 1st class award in July 1942. He was a Rottenfuhrer in the Mortar section of the 6th Company, 1st Infantry Regiment, SS Totenkopf when he was awarded the Knight's Cross in October 1942.

Hans Hirning was killed in action at Durnholz in Czechoslovakia on the April 30th, 1945.
