History
Hampton Parish was created in 1795 from Sussex Parish and Kingston Parish: possibly named for the town of Hampton near London, England: included Upham Parish until 1835 and Rothesay Parish until 1870.
Delineation
Hampton Parish is defined in the Territorial Division Act as being bounded:
Northwest by the County line; northeast by Bright Parish; southeast by Queensbury Parish; and south by the Saint John River.Communities
