HD 90156 b is an extrasolar planet which orbits the G-type main sequence star HD 90156, located approximately 73 light years away in the constellation Hydra. This planet has at least 17.6 times the mass of Earth and takes over seven weeks to orbit the star at a semimajor axis of 0.264 AU. Its eccentricity is 0.31 ± 0.10, while the inclination is not known, as typical for the radial velocity detection method. This planet was announced by the Swiss-led HARPS team on October 19, 2009, together with 29 other planets.
