HD 47536, also known as HR 2447, is a 5th magnitude K-type giant star located approximately 400 light-years away in the constellation of Canis Major. The exact mass of the star is unknown, either 1.1 or 3 MS. As of 2007, two planets are known in orbit around the lowest metallicity star.
