HD 176527 is a 5th magnitude star in the constellation Lyra, approximately 350 light years away from Earth. It is an orange giant star of the spectral type K2III. It therefore has a surface temperature of 3,500 to 5,000 kelvins and is much larger and brighter, yet cooler, than our Sun.
