The 2012 Gwynedd Council election took place on 3 May 2012 to elect members of Gwynedd Council in Wales. This was on the same day as other United Kingdom local elections, 2012. The Council shifted from Plaid Cymru to No Overall Control. No candidates were nominated for the Bryncrug/Llanfihangel ward, and a by-election was held in June 2012; an independent won. The results from this by-election are incorporated in the table below.
