Dipl.-Ing. Gustav Adolph Ludwig Wilhelm Freiherr von Liebenstein (25 April 1891 – 17 January 1967) was a highly decorated Kapitan zur See of the Reserves in the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
