Gunsmoke (officially known as the Air Force Worldwide Gunnery Competition) is a biennial air-to-surface gunnery meet for conventional weapons hosted by the United States Air Force that has been occurring since 1949, with the exception of a few instances. The competition occurs during odd-numbered years, while William Tell occurs during even-numbered years.
