Guadalajara 2020 is a project for the improvement and better planning of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Mexico. It is mainly focused on urban renewal, as well as increasing and improving social status as urban image. Although the project was envisaged since the mid-1990s the organization began formally in 2000.

The project promotes the city of Guadalajara and the Metropolitan Council. Public entities involved in the Municipality of Guadalajara, State Government of Jalisco, Guadalajara Metropolitan Council, the State Urban Development Collaborative Council Municipal de Guadalajara, Board of Historical Center, Office of Urban Development in addition to private entities: Council Chambers of Industry of Jalisco, Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce, Centro Patronal de Jalisco, Agricultural Council of Jalisco, Jalisco Us BC Federation Settlers of Jalisco and the social sphere: Universidad de Guadalajara, ITESO, Universidad Panamericana, UNIV and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara.

One of the main purposes of this project is to mull a bid for the Olympic Games of 2020 and become to Guadalajara the city host of the international event.
