The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is the organisation that governs greyhound racing in Great Britain.
This is the self-regulating body formed in 2009 after a merger between the British Greyhound Racing Board and the National Greyhound Racing Club. (NGRC)
All in the registered sector are subject to the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) Rules of Racing and the Directions of the Stewards, who set the standards for greyhound welfare at the racetrack only. Stewards inquiries and then disciplinary action is taken against anyone found failing to comply.
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain is currently under investigation by City of London Police for allegations relating to bribery and fraud as reported in the Racing Post on 7 February 2017 - a printed newspaper whose online content is behind a paywall.
The Greyhound Trainers Association are petitioning for the resignation of the entire GBGB Board (presenting petition to GBGB in March 2017)
The GBGB does not disclose any data on greyhound injuries and deaths at tracks, in kennels or at retirement.
