Great Thurlow is a village and civil parish in the St Edmundsbury district of Suffolk in eastern England. Situated around three miles north of Haverhill, in 2005 its population was 980. It includes the small hamlet of Sowley Green.

In the 1870s, Great Thurlow was described as:
"THURLOW (Great), a parish, with a village, in Risbridge district, Suffolk; 3ΒΌ miles N by E of Haverhill r. station. It has a post-office under Newmarket, and a fair on 11 Oct.; and it gives name and title to the descendants of Lord Chancellor Thurlow."
According to the 2011 Census there were 101 males and 112 females living in the parish.
