Grazed acreage — Under the 2002 farm bill (P.L. 101-171, Sec. 1206), a producer that would be eligible for loan deficiency payments (LDPs) for wheat, barley, or oats, but agrees to graze livestock and forgo harvesting the crops is eligible for a payment equal to the LDP on the date of the agreement. Grazed triticale acreage is eligible for a payment equal to a wheat payment.
