Grande Fratello (season 5)

Grande Fratello 5 was the fifth season of Big Brother in Italy. The show was produced by Endemol and aired from September 23, 2004 to December 2, 2004. In this season of Grande Fratello there were many new twists added to the game. A big added twist during this season was that four of the housemates were in a relationship with a fellow housemate. The four housemates were Francesco and Giulia who were married and Alfio and Rosa who were also married.

Contents

Aldo Pucci

Aldo (originally from Australia) entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 22, finishing fourteenth overall.

Alfio Dessì

Alfio entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 29, finishing thirteenth overall. He was joined in the house by his wife, Rosa.

Alessandra Miccichè

Alessandra entered the house on Day 1 and was nominated by Big Brother, along with Veronica. Alessandra received the majority vote to evict from her fellow housemates and she left on Day 1, finishing in seventeenth place.

Alessandro Capone

Alessandro (A.K.A. Alex) entered the house on Day 1 and made it to the final on Day 71. He was the first to leave on finale night, finishing in third place behind Catrina and Jonathan.

Annalisa Caputo

Annalisa entered the house on Day 47, with Pierre. In a twist, Pierre would be evicted if a female housemate was next to be evicted and Annalisa would be evicted if it was a male housemate. Rosa was evicted on Day 50, meaning Pierre was also evicted. Annalisa was later evicted on Day 64 in a double eviction, meaning she finished fourth and narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

Antonio entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted in a double eviction on Day 64, finishing fifth overall.

Catrina Davies

Catrina (originally from the United Kingdom) entered the house on Day 1 and made it to the final on Day 71. Alex left in third place and Jonathan won, meaning Catrina was the runner up of Grande Fratello Season 5.

Patrizia Griffini

Patricia entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 43, finishing eleventh overall.

Rosa Stagnitti

Rosa entered the house on Day 1 and was evicted on Day 50, finishing eighth overall. She was joined in the house by her husband, Alfio.

Veronica Rega

Veronica entered the house on Day 1 and was immediately nominated by Big Brother for eviction, along with Alessandra. She survived this eviction as Alessandra received majority vote to evict. Veronica was evicted on Day 46, finishing ninth overall.

Nominations Table

  •     Housemate saved from eviction by the best of weekly challenge
  • Notes

  • ^Note 1 : On Day 1, Big Brother nominated Alessandra and Veronica for eviction. In a twist, the other Housemates had to evict one of the two of them, as opposed to one of them being evicted by a public vote.
  • ^Note 2 : There were no nominations Week 1. Instead, Big brother chose to automatically put Francesco and Rosa up for eviction.
  • ^Note 3 : Due to Rosa surviving Big Brother's nomination in Week 1, she earned herself immunity during Week 2's nomination process.
  • ^Note 4 : Houseguests were forced to nominate three Housemates as opposed to two this week.
  • ^Note 5 : Annalisa and Pierre entered the House on Day 47 with the stipulation that one of them would have to leave the House on Day 50. This was dependent on if a male or female left the House through Week 7's second public vote. If a female were to be evicted, Pierre would be evicted as well. If a male were to be evicted, Annalisa would then be evicted. Because Rosa was evicted on Day 50, Pierre was evicted immediately after her.
  • ^Note 6 : This week the public voted to win, rather than to evict.
