Gracepointe church announces full membership to lgbt members
GracePointe Church is a church in Franklin, Tennessee. It was established in 2003. The senior pastor is Stan Mitchell.
In 2015, GracePointe decided to extend full membership privileges to LGBTQ people. Time magazine reported that it was one of the first evangelical megachurches in the United States to do so, although GracePointe's current attendance is well below the definitional threshold of a megachurch.
The church's website says, "Our Church expresses its love in the radical hospitality of Jesus – welcoming all persons into our midst, without regard to race, age, gender, sexual orientation, or physical abilities. You are part of the human family and thus our family. God's family."
