The 1st Legislature of Spain was elected by the general election of 1979, and continued until December 1982. It spanned two cabinets, both of the Union of the Democratic Centre:

  • Third Suárez Cabinet, led by Adolfo Suárez (2 April 1979 – 26 February 1981)
  • Calvo-Sotelo Cabinet, led by Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo (26 February 1981 – 2 December 1982)
