History
This school was established at 25 May 1915 by Panamattom Sree Bhagavathi temple trusty. This school was first a Lower-Primary school.The name of school when it was started was 'Bharathy vilasam L.P school'. In 1945, this school was given to the Government and in 1965 the school changed to Upper-Primary school. And then in 1980 the school changed again to High school and then at last in 1997, the High school becomes a Higher Secondary School. From the year 1983, this school got 90% of marks in S.S.L.C tests. In the years 2008-2009, it developed and became 100%. This school got the 'Best school in Kottayam district' trophy for many consecutive years. Usually, this school was the winners of Youth festival section-Government schools.
