Gorenji Maharovec ([ɡɔˈɾeːnji maxaˈɾɔːʋəts] or [ɡɔˈɾeːnji maxaˈɾoːʋəts]; German: Obermacharouz) is a settlement west of Šentjernej in southeastern Slovenia. The area was traditionally part of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia Statistical Region.
