The golden rhinoceros of Mapungubwe is an ancient artifact from the ancient Kingdom of Mapungubwe, which is located in modern-day South Africa. It was found on a royal grave, Mapungubwe Hill in 1932, but ignored by the apartheid government. The artifact is described as being "small enough to stand in the palm of your hand."

It is currently on loan to the British Museum as part of their exhibition that celebrates the art of South Africa.
