The Golden Dox is a mix of a Golden Retriever and a Dachshund. With short legs and a long body, the mix ranges from 20-60 pounds with their common colors being tan, brown, black, or a mix of red and yellow. Depending on what the mix inherits, its coat may be medium length with a double coat coming from a Golden Retriever or it may be long-haired, wired-haired, or smooth-haired coming from a Dachshund. This mix is a family-friendly dog that it is always comfortable to sit by your feet and cuddle on its owners lap. The Golden Dox needs regular exercise and lives an average of 8-14 years. They are extremely loyal, playful, intelligent, gentle, friendly, alert, and tend to bark at strangers and other small animals.
