Godaalo is a town in the northeastern Nugal region of Somalia.

On 2015-12-13 This town was part of conflict between the autonomous Somaliland contractually backed DNO ASA Oil company and the locals.There were helicopters seen in the air, Some of these helicopters were adorned with military Hardware. Others were simple observatory small helicopters.These Helicopters were pushed by with artillery fire from Guns mounted on trucks that are commonly used in this region by various clans.
