Give It 2 'Em Raw is the debut studio album by American rapper Soulja Slim, released on May 19, 1998 on No Limit Records and Priority. The album was a mild success, debuting at number 13 on the Billboard 200. It also debuted at number 4 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. This is Soulja's most successful album on the Billboard charts.

The album was recorded in 1997/98 period. The Executive producer was No Limit Records CEO Master P who also appear as featured artist. KLC, Craig B., Mo B. Dick, Carlos Stephens & DJ Darryl appears as producers. Other featured artist was Silkk The Shocker, O'Dell, Snoop Dogg, Tre-Nitty, Big Ed, Full Blooded, Mr. Serv-On, Mia X, C-Murder, Mac (rapper), Mystikal, Steady Mobb'n, Fiend (rapper), Gambino Family (group), Prime Suspects, Kane & Abel (group) & Magic (rapper). At the time the album was released, Soulja Slim was in prison.

Music video

There was a music video for the single "From What I Was Told" which was successful. There was also a release single called "Street Life" which made it to number 17 on the Top/ Hip Hop Singles & Tracks. This album could still found in retail stores, as of 2013. The album's highly famous, yet typical Pen & Pixel cover art was later homaged on the cover for the mixtape White Flame by Lil B.

Commercial performance

The album debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 82,000 copies in the United States. Tapp was serving in prison on a probation violation in 1998 when his first album, "Give it 2 ‘Em Raw, " fell just short of selling the 500,000 copies needed for coveted gold-record status. It's Soulja's most successful album to date.
