Giovanni Battista Crema (Ferrara, 1883 – Rome, 1964) was an Italian painter.

Biography

He was a pupil of Michele Cammarano and Domenico Morelli at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples. He then moved to Bologna to finish his studies. Spending some time in Livorno after 1901, he then moves to Rome, where he is influenced by the Symbolism of Giulio Aristide Sartorio and Giacomo Balla. He mainly painted social subjects with symbolist style. He was influences by Gaetano Previati.
