Family and early life

Bulgari is the great-grandson of Sotirio Bulgari, founder of the iconic jewelry and luxury goods brand Bulgari.

Bulgari was born in New York City and grew up in Rome. He attended Boston University for his undergraduate degree.

Explaining his involvement in designing jewelry today, Bulgari said, "I've been exposed to the craft from an early age. I remember trips to my father's office at Bulgari in Rome to see his creations when I was six. Given my passion for design and strong sense of aesthetics, it is only natural that I am where I am today."

Career

In November 2014, Bulgari became creative director of the Italian jewelry house Marina B, extending the heritage of the brand founded by his aunt Marina Bulgari. Prior to joining Marina B, Bulgari had been a consultant for Italian luxury goods company Salvatore Ferragamo and was managing director of the jewelry and watch business ENIGMA founded by his father Gianni.

In April 2015, Bulgari introduced his first collection for Marina B, "Mini Atomo". It is a modern spin on one of the core Marina B collections, "Atomo", which features clusters of 18-karat gold spheres. In November 2015, Bulgari launched his first full collection for Marina B, "Triangoli". Bulgari said, "Triangoli is inspired by a choker my aunt created in 1978... I wanted my first collection to be inspired by something from the archives."

Personal life

Bulgari has resided in Geneva, Switzerland since 2003, where he lives with his wife and two children.
