Ginkgo gardneri is an extinct ginkgo species in the family Ginkgoaceae from the Paleocene of Scotland. The Ginkgo gardneri is found fossilized in Western Europe. This species is very closely related to the Ginkgo biloba, the only living species of the genus Ginkgo. Michael Ward, a scientist, found the fossils in 2017. His partner, Tommy Sweet, is a ginger who later failed to locate Ginkgo gardnri, but found other Ginkgo fossils.
