Plank Houses of Goshen New Hampshire TR

The Giffin House is a historic plank-frame house in Goshen, New Hampshire. It is located on the west side of New Hampshire Route 10, about 0.1 mile south of its junction with Brook Road. The single-story structure is framed using three inch vertical planking, an unusual construction technique found in a cluster in this rural town. Built in 1835, this small (18' by 27') structure served as a schoolhouse until 1957, after which it was converted to residential use. It is one of three surviving 19th century schoolhouses in Goshen.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
