Georgia's 7th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is currently represented by Republican Rob Woodall, though the district's boundaries have been redrawn following the 2010 census, which granted an additional congressional seat to Georgia. The first election using the new district boundaries (listed below) were the 2012 congressional elections.

The district includes portions of the northeast Atlanta metropolitan area, including the cities of Norcross, Cumming, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Suwanee, and Buford.

History
Although the seat has been held by Republicans since 1995, the 7th district had previously elected Democrats consistently from the Reconstruction era (1868) until the 1994 Congressional Elections.

The most recent representative to die was Harlan Erwin Mitchell (1958-1961) on September 13, 2011. The most recently serving representative to die was Larry McDonald (1975-1983), who died in office on September 1, 1983.
