George W. Spaulding

George W. Spaulding was an American architect from Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Spaulding was a native Rhode Islander. Before opening his own practice, he worked for the Woonsocket Machine and Press Co. He established himself as an architect and engineer in 1885.

  • House, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket, RI (c.1892)
  • St. Andrew's Episcopal Chapel (Former), 576 Fairmont St., Woonsocket, RI (1894)
  • Forestdale Mill (Remodeling), 119 School St., Forestdale, RI (1895) - Added an unusual Shingle Style tower. Demolished.
  • Bridgeton School, 16 Laurel Hill Ave., Bridgeton, RI (1897)
  • Mapleville School, 5 Sandhill Rd., Mapleville, RI (1898)
  • Sayles Avenue School, 83 Sayles Ave., Pascoag, RI (1905)
  • Spaulding was also one of two local architects who competed for the design of the Woonsocket District Courthouse in 1894.
