George Truefitt was a Scottish architect. He was born in 1824 and died in 1902. He learned how to be an architect under Lewis Cottingham.

Career

He is famous for erecting over 25 different building throughout England. He additionally worked in 15 different countries. In his career he designed over 250 structures. He wrote a number of books including, Designs for Country Churches.

He retired in 1899 and died 3 years later. He inspired Calvert Vaux in his designs.
