George Lawrence Record (1859 - September 27, 1933) was an American lawyer and unsuccessful candidate for Governor of New Jersey and United States Senator.
Biography
He was born in Auburn, Maine in 1859. Republican candidate for the New Jersey Senate, 1901; Republican candidate for New Jersey General Assembly, 1908; Republican candidate for U.S. Representative from New Jersey, 1910; delegate to Republican National Convention from New Jersey, 1912; Presidential Elector for New Jersey, 1916; candidate for U.S. Senator from New Jersey, 1918 (Republican primary), 1924 (Progressive). He died from a cerebral hemorrhage on September 27, 1933 in the State Street Hospital in Portland, Maine. He was buried in New York Bay Cemetery.
