Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Georg von Neufville (27 October 1883 – 3 November 1941) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Georg von Neufville was wounded near Panovo, Soviet Union during the Battle of Moscow and died in a field hospital. He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor.
