Geoff Bartakovics

Geoff Bartakovics (born 1977) is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the cofounder and CEO of Tasting Table, a digital media brand targeted toward influential foodies. Bartakovics is also a board member or advisor to a number of other digital brands and start-ups, including Trigger Media Group, Pixafy and Gathered Table.

Before launching Tasting Table in 2008, Bartakovics was a business manager in asset-backed finance at UBS Investment Bank. He studied English literature at the University of Chicago, and studied comparative literature and philosophy at the University of Hamburg as a Fulbright Scholar.

In 2011, opened the “Tasting Table Test Kitchen and Dining Room” in the Soho neighborhood of Manhattan to serve as a culinary showcase to visiting chefs from around the world.

In 2015, Bartakovics acquired the restaurant discovery app, Flavour, and merged the asset and staff into Tasting Table, later relaunching the product as “DINE by Tasting Table” for iOS and Android.

Bartakovics was named a “New Insurgent” by The New York Observer in 2010. One of "40 Big Food Thinkers under 40" by Food & Wine Magazine in 2011 and was named one of Out magazine's OUT 100 in 2012. He is a New York Police Department Volunteer Auxiliary Police Officer, and a member of “quantified self” movement.
