Gennadiy Grigoryevich Onishchenko (Russian: Геннадий Григорьевич Онищенко, born October 21, 1950, Kyrgyz SSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian government official. Since 1996 Onishchenko has been the Chief Sanitary Inspector of Russia, succeeding Yevgeny Belyayev. He presided over the decision to ban Moldovan and Georgian wines, as well as other Georgian products, in 2006 and the ban of Belarusian dairy products in 2009. On June 24, 2009, Eduard Kokoity granted Onishchenko honorary citizenship of South Ossetia.

Onishchenko has three children, one daughter and two sons.
