GenieTown was a short-lived online marketplace for local services. GenieTown provided an online venue where suppliers of various services (plumbing, dentistry, etc.) and at various skill levels could market themselves.
GenieTown was founded by a group of Stanford entrepreneurs in late 2006 and was funded by angel investors. GenieTown was located in Palo Alto, California, and launched in February 2008. It closed its doors later that year.
