The General Council of Castile and Leon was the preautonomic entity of the Castile and Leon (Spain), that developed his activity from 1978 until 1983, the year that it went in force in the Statute of autonomy.

Had his headquarters, successively, in the building of the Provincial Deputation of Boroughs and in the Palace of the Island of Boroughs.

It was presided by Juan Manuel Reol Tejada (UCD) during the period 1978–1980 and by José Manuel García-Hangman Candón (UCD) during the period 1981–1983.
