Garth Counsell has been bishop of Table Bay, a suffragan bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Cape Town, since 2004. Like the Bishop of Dover he is in effect the Diocesan Bishop as his superior is Primate of an Ecclesiastical Province. from 1970 to 1976.
